Percivious Insomnia is the latest sci-fi novel that I have read. It’s a medical thriller too. It is the first book in the Percivious trilogy written by husband-wife author duo JJ Cook & AJ Cook. The book started with the introduction of characters one by one. Cooper Delaney is the main one who has made a wonder drug to cure insomnia. But the problem is that the drug failed on one user. Cooper who went for a skiing trip had an accident that landed him to a hospital and then on a wheel chair. But Cooper is so curious to know why wonder drug test to cure insomnia failed on Malcom Schwartz. The energy loss at 200 calories per hour occurring during the period of REM sleep made absolutely no sense. What is wrong with Malcom or the test? Will it be figured out? The way this novel is written and the characters are described is nice. Story is gripping making it an unputdownable book. Cooper’s character interested me the most. Authors has done great job in their debut novel. This novel is set in Washington, Victoria, NYC, etc. I haven’t heard a story with similar plot earlier. So, I enjoyed this story.
